Testing Home Schooled Students.png

Washington State requires home school students be tested each year to determine a student’s progress. I offer a recognized and reputable test for students (Iowa Basic) and start testing at grade 3. I help make this a safe and fun experience for the students. I am a 40 year veteran English teacher and have administered this test for over ten years in my home. It’s a safe and encouraging time.
(Kids even say they look forward to testing because I try to make it fun!)

Iowa Basic Tests offer a great evaluation for your student that is based upon each grade level and gives comparisons with students all over the United States.

High school students take a one-day test (morning) and those in 3rd to 8th grade take the test in two days (3 hours each day). They get fun breaks to go outside and talk with their friends or play soccer or basketball. I suggest they also being a snack (not nuts) and something to drink.

Costs of the test: $34 per student ($10 extra for science and social students portions of the test.
